For three generations and nearly 100 years, our mission as a company has been to provide the best service possible and quality goods on a local level.
The Early Days
With roots dating back to the late 1920s, Fowler Oil Company was formed on September 25, 1934. Led by Dean W. Fowler, the company flourished until officially being incorporated in March 1952.
Decades of Service
Fowler Oil Company functioned as a Texaco Dealership for 70 years, serving thousands of customers throughout Wayne County and its surrounding areas. After 50 years of service to the community, Fowler Oil Company added to their service station on 1140 Main St. and opened their first convenient store in 1988; one that still functions to this day.
Surviving the 1973 and 1979 Oil Crisis
A petroleum based embargo against the United States in the early 70s led to a massive shortage of fuel oil across the country. Service stations had to play gatekeeper in order to ensure that their customers were able to fill their tanks and that they didn’t run out of product. Followed by a second crisis and drop in oil production in 1979, Fowler Oil Company was forced to make nearly a decade worth of hard decisions in order to ensure that their customers needs were met and that their business could persevere.

For three generations, Fowler Oil company has functioned as a leading business throughout Wayne County. Through years of hardship, economic crashes, and oil crisis’ we have persevered, always putting the customer first. We’ve maintained our style of family-rooted business without losing sight of the changing world around us, giving back and serving the community in the process. As we close in on nearly 100 years of business our goals remain the same; to provide reliable services, outstanding customer relationships, and industry standards.
